Very often people come to me with questions about life, such as:
- How to find my passion?
- How to find out what I want to do with my life?
Or other times they come to me with questions about decision making, such as:
- Should I stay or leave my current job?
- Should I stay or leave my relationship?
Those, of course, are important questions that can alter one’s life for ever. Therefore they need serious consideration and the right method to be approached. Life is not black and white of course but we all need some guidance sometimes when we feel lost. They say that life doesn’t come with instructions, however, the activity of philosophy is as close as it gets.
Let me explain, the activity of philosophy is the same method that Socrates used in Ancient Athens 2500 years ago and all other philosophers have used since then to find fundamental truths about the universe, the cosmos, about politics, ethics, aesthetics.
The same method we can use today to find fundamental truths about ourselves. We can use this method to get to know ourselves, develop self-awareness, self-love, and self-mastery as a result.
The activity of philosophy is a series of intelligent questions, asked one after the other and by eliminating the options available and logical reasoning we are able to get to the root of the matter and the truth about what it is we are searching for.
Wisdom to all,
